The impending EU regulations – Article 20 of the revised TPD – are almost certainly the biggest challenge the Vaping industry has faced so far. Where as the vast majority of responsible businesses yearned for sensible and proportionate regulations, we have ended up with a mess of arbitrary & unnecessary requirements, based on false perception, and bereft of reason. There are of course small pockets of intelligence when it comes to quality standards etc., but these are far outweighed by the obstructive and nonsensical restrictions that have been attached to them. Yet for not only our companies, but also for the people who rely on them, we have to ensure we can continue to run both throughout and long after implementation occurs.

Like many of you, our business is constantly expanding and our time is hard pushed as it is. And again like many of you, we are far from experienced experts in compliance and do not have the staff already on board with such a skill set. So we faced the challenge of how to overcome the hurdles of the TPD2 whilst ensuring we do not neglect the things we do best. We considered recruitment, but decided to weigh up the costs against the many organisations’ claiming to be able to ‘help’ you through the TPD.

We were looking for a cost effective but entirely robust solution. We wanted a company that we could trust to guide us through every step of the process, justify their costs, and deliver a timely and effective route to compliance which caused as minimal disruption to the day to day running of the business as possible.
